Campfire Baked Potatoes (Foil Wrapped)
Hot, fluffy, and smoky — these baked potatoes are one of the easiest and most satisfying campfire meals you can make.
🛒 Ingredients
- 4 medium russet potatoes
- 4 tsp olive oil or butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Foil sheets for wrapping
- Optional: shredded cheese, sour cream, bacon bits, green onion
🔥 Instructions
- Scrub and dry potatoes. Pierce several times with a fork.
- Rub with oil or butter, season with salt and pepper.
- Wrap tightly in foil, double layer if placing in direct coals.
- Place directly into hot coals (not flames) and cook 45–60 minutes.
- Turn every 15–20 minutes using tongs or heat gloves.
- Unwrap carefully and serve with toppings of choice.
🔥 Camp Tip
Make a toppings bar and let everyone customize their own! Kids love loading theirs up with cheese and bacon. You can even prep these ahead at home and toss them in the cooler.
