Campfire Dutch Oven Nachos

A fun, shareable snack perfect for lazy afternoons at camp.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15–20 minutes
Serves: 4–6

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 1–2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, jack, or blend)
  • 1 can black beans, drained
  • 1/2 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes or salsa
  • 1/2 cup corn (canned or frozen)
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 avocado or guacamole (for topping)
  • Sour cream and hot sauce (optional)

🔥 Instructions

  1. Lightly oil the Dutch oven or line with parchment paper.
  2. Layer tortilla chips with cheese, beans, corn, and toppings.
  3. Repeat for multiple layers, ending with cheese on top.
  4. Cover and place on campfire coals with 10–12 coals on the lid.
  5. Cook 10–15 mins or until cheese is fully melted.
  6. Remove from heat, top with avocado, sour cream, and enjoy!

🔥 Camp Tip

Use parchment paper in your Dutch oven to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
