One of our favorite recipes to use with the Dutch Oven.
Campfire Dutch Oven Nachos
A fun, shareable snack perfect for lazy afternoons at camp.
🛒 Ingredients
- 1 bag tortilla chips
- 1–2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, jack, or blend)
- 1 can black beans, drained
- 1/2 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes or salsa
- 1/2 cup corn (canned or frozen)
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 avocado or guacamole (for topping)
- Sour cream and hot sauce (optional)
🔥 Instructions
- Lightly oil the Dutch oven or line with parchment paper.
- Layer tortilla chips with cheese, beans, corn, and toppings.
- Repeat for multiple layers, ending with cheese on top.
- Cover and place on campfire coals with 10–12 coals on the lid.
- Cook 10–15 mins or until cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from heat, top with avocado, sour cream, and enjoy!

Use parchment paper in your Dutch oven to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
