Dutch Oven Beef Stroganoff
Rich, creamy comfort food made simple — perfect for chilly nights at camp.
🛒 Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or beef stew meat
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups egg noodles (uncooked)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Chopped parsley (optional)
🔥 Instructions
- Heat your Dutch oven over medium heat. Add olive oil and brown the beef.
- Add diced onion and cook until soft. Stir in garlic and mushrooms, sauté 5 minutes.
- Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings. Stir to combine.
- Bring to a simmer, then stir in the dry egg noodles.
- Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are soft.
- Remove from heat, stir in sour cream, and top with parsley if desired. Serve hot!
🔥 Camp Tip
Use a 10" or 12" Dutch oven directly over coals or a camp stove. If you're using stew meat, sear first and simmer longer until tender before adding noodles.
