Dutch Oven Beef Stroganoff

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or beef stew meat
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups egg noodles (uncooked)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

🔥 Instructions

  1. Heat your Dutch oven over medium heat. Add olive oil and brown the beef.
  2. Add diced onion and cook until soft. Stir in garlic and mushrooms, sauté 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings. Stir to combine.
  4. Bring to a simmer, then stir in the dry egg noodles.
  5. Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are soft.
  6. Remove from heat, stir in sour cream, and top with parsley if desired. Serve hot!

🔥 Camp Tip

Use a 10" or 12" Dutch oven directly over coals or a camp stove. If you're using stew meat, sear first and simmer longer until tender before adding noodles.
