Dutch Oven Cinnamon Rolls

Wake up your campsite with the smell of fresh cinnamon rolls baking over the fire.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Serves: 8 rolls

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon roll dough (or use homemade)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Optional: extra cinnamon & sugar for topping
  • Icing (usually included in canned dough)

🔥 Instructions

  1. Grease a Dutch oven or line with parchment paper.
  2. Place rolls inside, leaving space between each one.
  3. Add a dab of butter to the top of each roll.
  4. Cover and place over low coals with 6–8 coals on the lid.
  5. Bake for about 20–25 minutes. Start checking at 18 minutes.
  6. Drizzle icing over warm rolls and serve immediately.

🔥 Camp Tip

Let kids help place the rolls and spread icing! For a crowd, use two cans and a 12" Dutch oven. You can prep homemade dough at home and bring it chilled in a cooler.
